Each Scalesworn is given one of these amulets and warned never to take it off. Though they do not seem to possess any special properties at first, these amulets ‘grow as their wearers do’, gaining special powers commensurate with the ability and skills of their owners.

When at rest, the black glassy fang suspended from each amulet’s silver dragon clasp occasionally flickers with a sheen of white fire.
